It all started with a little free time and some random searching through the iTunes store; that’s where my sordid love-affair with podcasting began. I was just looking for a way to while away the hours I spent at work each week, but it quickly became much more than that. One podcast turned into two. Two turned into four. Now I’ve got over forty podcasts in my feed, and I’m still searching for more.
Podcasts have become much more than a way to pass the time. They’ve become excellent resources for news, current events, and entertainment for me. So when my Journalism professor asked her students to go search up a beat to cover for a class blog assignment, podcasting immediately sprang to mind. I was always searching for new podcasts, so I figured why not create an archive for other people looking for the same thing.
The class may be over now, but there are always new podcasts to cover, and this journo student is going to keep writing about them.
